Using Dropbox
In this course, we will submit assignments using Dropbox.
Dropbox is a cloud storage account which allows us to share files among each other. In order to download Dropbox please go to http://www.dropbox.com and sign up for and account. Download the Dropbox software.
After you have downloaded the Dropbox software, please let me know via email. I will then add you to our shared Dropbox folder.
Once I have added you to our shared Dropbox folder, you will receive an email notification. Click on the designated link in the email notification, and log into your Dropbox. After you have performed these steps, the folder will be visible to you.
Dropbox will create a link in your Favorites list. Therefore, when you submit a file to our shared Dropbox file, you will simply name the file with your name_week#. Therefore, if my name were John Smith, and I were submitting my assignment for Week One, I would name the file JSMITH_WEEK1. click File>Save As> and choose Dropbox from your Favorites list in the dialogue box. Then select the shared folder EDET635_SU12.
In order for this to work, you must be connected to the internet.
See example below (this example uses the shared folder EDET636_SU12).
